Reiki Sessions
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique performed by gently laying hands on. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words; Rei + Ki and is loosely translated to mean life force energy guided by Source. During a Reiki session your life force energy will get a boost, increasing your vibration (ie your personal frequency). It is similar to acupuncture (without the needles) as it stimulates the body's natural healing abilities and promotes physical and emotional well-being.
Once you are all settled in, the session will begin with a testing of your seven chakras. These results can help to guide and personalize your immersion. (more on chakras here).
After the chakras are tested, the Reiki begins. The Reiki Master is guided by experience and intuition, and has the ability to create a space where deep healing can occur on every level; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
If this is your first time having a Reiki session, we recommend that you schedule a 75-minutes session so that Cortney can have the time necessary to chat with you before the session about what to expect.

The base Reiki session is 60-minutes at $70, however, the following add-ons are available at an additional cost:

An Embodied™ Reiki Session is similar to a traditional Reiki session in that you will receive a 60-minute hands on experience with light-gentle healing touch.
However, it is different in that the following tools are also used at the discretion of the practitioner:

Crystal Bowls + Reiki Session
Reiki and sound fused together in one session will surely open your energy body and allow the healing energy to flow. By lying comfortably on a massage table and surrounded with crystal singing bowls, you will truly be bathed in sound. The Reiki energy will be amplified by the vibrations and allow for a deep clearing, leaving you feeling revitalized. Sessions will be customized based on your chakra testing and your requests.

We carry a history in our bodies and in our biofields. The sound locates tangles/knots and then it liberates the energy. As humans, we often have habitual patterns that are no longer serving us. Yes, it is hard for us to let them go – but sound balancing through this process can help us do just that. This is not just about trauma, this process also increases overall performance for adults, athletes - for anyone looking to achieve an optimal state.
The diseases of our time such as lime, lupus, chronic fatigue, weak digestion, autoimmune, adrenal stress are all about a low battery – meaning people are discharging more than they are recharging. We don’t need supplements and mountains of kale when we use sound on a regular basis to increase our voltage. Sound falls upwards – which means it adds lift and current into our system in a fast, easy, and non-invasive way. Ultimately love is what we are seeking, but there is a lot of stuff in the way and through this sound balancing work we untangle energy so love can easily flow to and through you.

Energy is not good or bad, it is inherently neutral.
Energy is not removed from your history just as memories are not removed from your mind. Instead, we untangle it, bring it back to the mid-line, and it circulates back into the body. However, after a sound balancing with tuning forks session your body will reference the trauma or formally stuck energy in a different way.

What are the Akashic Records:
The Akashic Records are a dimension of consciousness that contains a vibrational record of every soul and its journey. Moreover, the Records are a body of knowledge that contains everything that every soul has ever thought, said, and done over the course of its existence. Even more importantly it contains all desires and future possibilities. Therefore, we can look at the Records as an intermediary body of all past, present, and future possibilities, probability, and eventuality. Through them we can derive understanding and direction as we embark on our journey to becoming our optimal selves in the physical world.

Couple's Reiki Session

Animal Reiki Session
Animal Reiki is a special adaptation to the traditional Reiki practice specifically for pets and other animals. It can offer pain and stress reduction techniques, with both a heart-centered and hands-on approach. Animal Reiki is also offered during times of transition. Reiki is a gentle and powerful way to support not only the animal, but the entire family, when an animal is dying (making their transition).
Setting expectations for the session: The session will last approximately 45 minutes – however, it is important to note, unlike a traditional Reiki sessions with a person, an Animal Reiki session is guided completely by the animal. Therefore, ultimately the session time is determined by your beloved pet/animal.
Reiki can bring not only physical healing for the animal – but sometimes, even more importantly, emotional and spiritual healing. It’s important to note that with any Reiki, we are to let go of any expectations – and its even more important for animals that are dying. It may be true that the Reiki will allow for a relief in symptoms and physical improvements may occur. However, it is also important to note that “healing doesn’t always mean cure.” Reiki provides each being with the healing that is most needed within the framework of that being’s current wishes and destiny. Reiki is always working for the highest good of the animal even if the results are not what we, as humans, had hoped for.
Distant Reiki Session
Distant Reiki is as powerful as “in person” Reiki. Why? Simply put, Reiki is energy, and energy is not limited to time and space. (same concept as the power of prayer).

How does a distant Reiki session with Cortney work?

Before: we talk on Facetime for 5-10 minutes

During: I perform Reiki on you at a distance for about 45 minutes, after testing your chakras

After: we talk on Facetime for 10-15 where I let you know what chakras where open/closed and we talk about ways, specific to you, to keep your vibration healthy and high

Literally speaking, the word chakra - derived from Sanskrit - translates to wheel. Chakras are spiritual energy centers within the human body, usually considered to be seven in number. These “wheels” can often be detected using a pendulum. When a pendulum is used by an expereinced Reiki practitioner, it will either swing clockwise, indicating an "open" or "balanced" chakra or counterclockwise, indicating a "closed" or unbalanced chakra. Whether open or closed, the results provide insight into our current state of well-being since chakras are an indication of our personal frequency.
