This training helps the learner develop an understanding of trauma and trauma healing through the panchamaya kosha lens.


Target Audience: Anyone who values connecting to others as a healer can benefit from this course. You can be a healer as a parent, educator, massage therapist, beautician, trusted friend, physician, counselor, and more to contribute to this learning community.


Prerequisite: An interest in trauma, self growth, energy work, and empowering others is helpful to appreciate this training.


Setting: This will be a workshop format with listening, sharing, and participation with discussion and gentle movements.


Focus: This training will give you an understanding of trauma from an energetic, kosha lens and empower you in your space with others.



This course is designed for healers of all types who want to learn new ways to understand trauma. This course will guide you through ways trauma appears in the koshas, our energetic layers. You will be able to take this information and reflect on your own relationship with trauma, your healing journey, and the ways you show up as a healer in your work and life for others. This course can be a beginning to changing your own relationship with trauma and a springboard to learning more.

  3. Nervous System & Trauma

  4. Polyvagal Theory

  5. Panchamaya Koshas & Trauma Relationships

    1. Annamaya kosha (physical body)

    2. Pranamaya kosha (breath body)

    3. Manomaya kosha (emotional body)

    4. Vijnanamaya kosha (intuitive body)

    5. Anandamaya kosha (bliss body)


Breakdown of training:

  • 6.5 – Total time in hours including breaks

  • 35% - Lecture, 25% - Discussion, 25% - Activity, 15% - Practices


Bring with you to class:

  1. Pen/pencil

  2. Wear comfortable clothing

  3. Snacks, drink, and lunch

Nichole Studd explores the world through play with energy movement using the lens of science and spirit. She has always felt connected to nature, animals, trees, and water. Nichole strives to “stay human” and continue to learn from the traumas in her life and use them to shift her perspectives. She believes in giving herself permission to feel all her feelings in order to process and move through them. And she hopes to empower you to do the same!


An addict of learning – this lifetime learner has a variety of training in both science and energy work, including an M.S. in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Nichole started her career in education as a teacher and administrator. Now she works as an independent consultant and yoga therapist in schools and private practice. Her heart and mind are aligned in the work that she loves sharing with the world.


Currently she reside in Shelby, Ohio with her beautiful blended family of eight; who she says are her greatest teachers! You can find more about Nichole at
