The Surrender Experiment: A 6-Week Program to Freedom
With Dr. Rachael
Begins Sunday, September 20 630-830pm (and next 5 weeks after)
At SHINE, we create some of the most transformative experiences people have ever had.
But what happens after the experience? This 6-week series is for those who don’t just want a moment of change—
but want to actually live differently on the other side of it.What This Changes
Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do.
They struggle because in the moment something gets triggered—
they get pulled into it.Overthinking. Reactivity. Emotional loops. Internal tension.
This series teaches you how to be with what arises—
without gripping it, suppressing it, or being run by it.
By the end of the 6 weeks, participants are noticeably different:
- Less reactive in real-life situations
- More aware of their patterns as they happen
- Able to stay present instead of getting pulled into thoughts or emotions
- Experiencing moments of real internal freedom
Not perfect.
But different in a way that actually impacts your daily life.
How It Works
This is not a lecture series.
Each week builds on the last—combining:
- grounded teaching
- guided somatic practice
- real-time application
- group integration
Led by Dr. Rachael, this work is structured, supported, and practical.
The Work (In Dr. Rachael’s Words)
"Based on the incredible, powerful work of Michael Singer; it is direct and uncompromising in the best way. At its core, it’s an invitation to stop outsourcing our inner experience and to recognize that we are responsible for what we’re carrying: the stored impressions, emotional residues (samskaras), and reactive patterns that keep us stuck."
That means this work isn’t theoretical.
It’s a moment-to-moment practice of noticing when you close, resist, or tighten against what’s arising—and learning, again and again, how to allow it to be there without interfering.
The Foundation of This Work
What we often call the ego isn’t something fixed or real—it’s a version of ourselves built from past experiences, preferences, and emotional wounds we never fully processed. Over time, we wrap ourselves in this identity like armor, and then spend our lives trying to protect it.
But what if that armor isn’t actually necessary?
Instead of trying to fight or remove these inner reactions, the work becomes allowing the energy behind them to rise and transform. When something comes up—an emotion, a thought, a disturbance—you don’t suppress it or push it away. You acknowledge it.
You might even relate to it with compassion:
“I see you. I know you’re there. I’m sorry I’ve held you down for so long. You’re allowed to come up—and I’ll do my best to let you pass.”
This creates a completely different relationship with what’s happening inside you. It’s no longer about forcing change or fixing yourself. It’s about openness, allowing, and trust.
And when you stay in that openness long enough, things begin to release on their own—naturally, in the way they’re meant to.
