What if you were never broken?

There was a period of my life where I thought something was wrong with me.
I was having panic attacks.
Living in constant stress.
Always scanning for problems.
Always waiting for the next thing to go wrong.
And no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t think my way out of it.
At the time, I didn’t understand nervous system regulation.
Or frequency.
Or why some environments made me feel more anxious while others made me feel like I could finally breathe again.
Then I found Reiki.
And for the first time - ever - I realized something important:
The problem wasn’t my thoughts.
Those were the symptom.
The problem was the state I was living inside.
When your nervous system is stuck in survival mode, you experience life differently.
You notice danger faster than beauty.
Problems faster than possibility.
Stress faster than grace.
And here’s what I need you to know:
I am not special.
If anything, I refused this work for almost 30 years.
I ignored the signs.
Pushed through exhaustion.
Stayed in environments that drained me.
Told myself I was “fine.”
Convinced myself this was just how life felt.
A lot of people do that.
Because answering the call to change your life is uncomfortable.
Especially when you’ve spent years adapting to stress, survival mode, overthinking, burnout, or emotional exhaustion.
But eventually there comes a moment where part of you quietly realizes:
Maybe I’m not broken.
Maybe I’ve just been disconnected from myself.
That realization changed everything for me.
Not overnight.
Not magically.
But enough to begin creating new momentum.
This is why I care so deeply about the experiences we create at SHINE.
Because sometimes one moment of feeling different changes what you believe is possible for yourself.
And once your body experiences that…
you can’t unexperience it.
Maybe this is your moment to stop refusing the call.
xo,
